Happy Halloween Again

Managed to finish drawing a digital art for Halloween.

I wanted to make a tutorial for it but i have no enough time and plus my explanation kinda sucks =<

This is a rough sketching and it looks like crap >< the position of the hands just doesn't seem right =/

The outline was done and i did some editing especially on the hand, hair and facial expression. Now, it looks a lot better ~

Next, colouring was done. Details of the skull and gloves were added. I'd used many layers it seems.

After that, background and frame were added and the drawing was set dimmer so that there's halloween atmosphere feel x) The final outcome looks like this:

I think the original one above looks nicer.

Doesn't mean this and that

Saw a meaningful post on facebook and so i decided to translate it into English and publish it on my blog. Those sentences do express how i feel sometimes.

This is how it goes:

I don't complain about pain, doesn't mean that i'm lacked of feelings;

I don't beg for help, doesn't mean that i have totally lost hope;

I don't shed a tear, doesn't mean that there're no scars on me;

I remain silent; doesn't mean that i don't have my own thoughts and opinions;

Being happy, not necessarily mean that I have never gone through any hardships;

Feeling blissful, not necessarily mean that I never struggle for life;

The reason for leaving is not because i don't care.

Hmm..something like that. I didn't manage to translate the mandarin sentences word by word because i don't know how to so i'd added some of my own words. The meanings are still there, i hope.

Ball Jointed Dolls (Male)

Now, to the male version of BJD =) Maybe for girls, there're one or two from the photos below which is/are the prince on the white horse that you have been dreaming of x)

Nice pose by the way. That's the advantage of having ball joints. You can adjust the dolls' pose until you get an ideal pose.

I prefer this guy <3 i love his hair, eyes, coat, necklace, almost everything !

In my opinion, those who help their BJD to take photos are pro photographers since they know which angle, background and etc suits the best for their BJD. Yea, it's a still life photo shooting but you gotta know how to make the dolls in the photo look alive and..with emotions, instead of a lifeless mannequin =x

Most of the BJD lovers will make up a unique name, background, personalities and stories for each of their dolls. After that, they'll tell stories about them through the photos taken. Very creative > <

Ball Jointed Dolls (Female)

I'd visited some online shops (just window shopping) and found one selling not clothes or accessories but dolls. I'm greatly fascinated by the beauty, delicacy and perfectness of the ball jointed dolls or BJD (i guess perfect dolls do exist in this world). I've never heard of anyone collecting these dolls in my country but they seem to be quite well-known in certain countries like japan, korea, US and etc..

About these dolls, they're really something. They look so alive, they're like not just composed of some hollow body parts. It's as if there're souls inside each and every one of them.

You can buy the body parts like hair, eyeballs, arms, palms and etc separately but you'll have to fix them yourself. There're some limited and readily made available as well. I would love to buy one or maybe a couple for the sake of admiring their beauty if i have the money (one complete BJD costs for about $ 600 OMG). I'm not a doll freak and i won't collect a bunch of them because that'll turn my room into a creepy doll house O.Olll

Halloween Excitement

Thanks to PPG, i'm so excited and thrilled about Halloween. How i wish that our country has this festival. I would love to look at all kinds of costume and outfit worn by the kids or maybe some of the teenagers and adults. Hmm..for me, i think i'll be a zombie. That's easier for me because i already look like one xD

T.G.I.F

It's Friday at last !! I've been waiting for weekends to come. Actually weekdays and weekends are more or less the same since i have so much assignments to do. Four of them will be due next week. Assignments, screw you =( no, screw the lecturer. Urgh..whatever. shouldn't blame them. i ought to accept the fact that this is how a student's life should be ><" Well, weekend is better still. At least i can charge my biological battery to the fullest.

To be honest, i'm not doing the last minute work. Those assignments need to queue up to be completed one by one according to the priority and so, one or two of them will be the last to go. (i'm trying to sound like a good student)

No more drama or movie marathon for the time being. No more shopping till i drop. No more playing with my pets (poor thing being neglected =<)

*sneezing non-stop* OMG, that's the sign of immune system breakdown. Better off to bed D;

Ehem..it's time for me to show my handcraft. This was made last year as a gift for someone.
Plushies are the only handcraft which i know how to make.
Some (like the strawberry and mushroom) were made by my mom because she was my demonstrator =D She used to be the master of handcrafts. Sadly, now she only does crocheting and sewing.
Anyway, the patterns of the veggies are from an inexpensive but very useful book which i'd bought.

yea, i have a deviantart account but i'm not very active in it. i'll only post my arts and photos for like once in a blue moon =<

yes, that sounds right, more logical and relevant to the contents of my blog ^^

i guess memories are like infinite pieces of scattered puzzles. you'll have to compile and gather every single pieces of them. One missing piece will give you an incomplete image/picture.

Well, that doesn't mean that i'm gonna write billions or zillions of post anyway (that is quite challenging somehow). But this blog is where i can record my memories, whether they're sweet, bitter, sour or whatever.

Autumn walk event

The weather has finally turned cooler. it's not because autumn is here (there're no four seasons in my country) but it's because of the rainy season. i guess that's what replaced autumn and winter in our country. we have to wear raincoats (i don't prefer wearing that) and bring along our umbrellas instead of wearing sweaters, coats and scarves. Speaking of the changing in weather, the latest event in ppg is ~autumn walk event~. There're four backgrounds available.

surprisingly, i'd bought some of the event's items because those three items used for unlocking the background only cost 50 R.

wearing the hanging ticket will unlock this

background no 3: the cafe

holding the mini shopping bag will unlock this.

after i'd zoomed in the picture, only then i realised that my poupee isn't really holding the paperbag =x there should be some improvement on this.

background no 4: outside the house

this is a default background.

why are there music instruments for jewel users and not for ribbons users ? so unfair =< even if one cello costs for 300R, i'm willing to pay or it ><

Well well, i'm looking forward to the halloween event because sadly, i'd missed out last year's (i was lost in space that time). i've started to gather my ribbons as much as i can so that i can enjoy the excitement of the halloween event ^^

it's me, slacking off again.

i was in the middle of doing my assignment when mom interrupted and asked me to eat something. so here it is, snack of today: kaya balls which was bought by my aunt early in the afternoon =))

i just ate four of  this.

the greenish sticky filling is kaya of course xD

i asked a friend of mine whether he has a blog and the conversation goes like this:

I: do you have a blog ?

He: i have but i didn't update it for ages. you're still playing that kind of thing ?

I: i just started my blog few months ago =.="

he talked as if writing a blog is an outdated thing to do (or was i thinking too much?)

whatever he said, i'm still gonna keep on blogging. it's a great way to store and preserve my memories bit by bit. i'm very forgetful to the point that i do not even remember what the date is today or what i had for dinner the previous night. so blogging is the best way to make me recall things by reading my own posts and looking at the photos. even if time passes quickly, what i have written today will never change (unless i edit it) and the photos will never fade ^^
