P.C Day 26

P. C day 26: Close-up

I'm planning to come up with a series of simple drawings with the theme of forest animals. I've chosen the type of animals in my mind already but only managed to draw one which is an owl. Anyway, I drew it about a month ago and guess what, I found a necklace with an owl that looks 90% similar to the one in my drawing, what a coincidence! It was weeks ago when I saw it at a bazaar held in the campus and I bought it without a second thought. And so, there goes the first owl accessories which I'm owning ^___^

Feel like drawing something for Christmas too since it's only less than one month away but I have no idea on what to draw. Would love to read any suggestions from you =)

P.C Day 25

P .C day 25: Something Pink

Like I said, I've run out of inspiration >.<

Je suis rose (yay, I've just learned the colours in French =D).

Mr B said, "You look so serious. No need to be so serious, relax. You'll have to do your project in the lab for one year (it's 7 months to be exact)".

Thanks for pointing out. When I'm very busy, there's this 20% of grumpy & 80% of serious look on my face which read, "don't disturb me because I'm working like there's no tomorrow".

A reminder to self: take it easy.

Cheers!

☆ Country Girl Event ☆

Just a quick update on PPG's latest event.

I'm in love with anything which is Mori (forest) or country themed. So I love the new event especially its background and dress ❤ Living in a little cottage like that has become one of my dream now.

Enjoy the event and all the best in everything you do~

P.C. Day 24

P.C. day 24: Animal

The targeted animal is birds~ I'm never good at taking photos of animals because firstly, they're very alert and secondly, they can escape out of your view very fast. So you need to have a good camera with high shutter speed plus zoom lens. Otherwise, you'll need some luck and chance to take good photos of them. What I had is a bit of luck I guess =D

Panda-chan told me that the sparrows she met in Europe aren't afraid of humans. They'll skip on the ground and slowly approaching you when you're eating your bread. So she said it was very easy to capture photos of them (showing the photos to me) and yes, they were just standing beside her shoes, pecking at the breadcrumbs and eating happily. In contrast, the sparrows in my country have the "super shy" gene in them =<

They're close, not because they are looking at each other, but because they're looking at the same direction.

P.C Day 23

P.C day 23: Sunflare

I'm proud to be able to capture photos of sunflare because I never snap one proper photo of it (I simply don't know how to). And then I've learnt that you need to zoom in a bit when aiming your camera at the sun and searching for the right angle in which the scattered light is visible. It's quite fun and I can spend hours in an afternoon just by snapping photos of it (provided that the camera is fully charged).

I'm quite happy with the results especially the second photo.
Hope you like it ^___^

Have a nice weekend~

P.C Day 22

P.C day 22: Hands

I've totally forgotten that there're 8 more photo challenges for me to complete. #feeling like a scatterbrain
The main reason is that I'm very busy with lab work and another one is that I've run out of inspirations.

Anyway, weekend is almost here~ Cheers and keep smiling =)

Amazing Artist of the Month

I've stumbled upon many great artists who draw awesome art and I think that I should share about them ^___^

As a start, I'll introduce faboarts (don't know what's his full name). His drawings were mostly done using colour pencils. I've noticed that he uses a lot of brown and green. His arts are easy to be recognized. Have a look at the drawings below and you'll know why.

The animals with huge round eyes are so adorable! It's impossible to not love the drawings ❤

Slow Down the Pace

She used to think a lot about the meaning of life and the purpose of her existence in this world. It's always the sunset which provides her with an excuse to take a break from her work. She approaches the window and admires the view outside. Sometimes, the sunset is so breathtaking that she feels great to be alive, to be able to watch the sunset.

Life is short and you'll never know what will happen next. So enjoy life while you can.

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

Bon Voyage, Mon Amie

For Nic-chan, who'll be going to work in another city for a year.

She's a close friend whom I've known for more than 8 years. I have a feeling that she'll leave the town one day but I never knew that it'll be so sudden.

Dear Nic-chan,

Thanks for everything. I'll miss you a lot because we've done so many things together. There're a lot of happy moments which played like a movie in my mind whenever I think of you. I'll take good care of myself and I hope you do the same too. Remember that when you need someone to talk to, I'll always be there. And that when you're tired of your life there, there's always a place call home where your family will welcome you with their open arms. We'll surely meet again and by that time, we'll have endless life stories to chat about.

Wish you all the best and good luck!

Sincerely, me.

Unforgettable

Here are some photos taken during my sampling field trip.

In case you're interested, this is what I'm doing:
I'm doing a research on a bacteria species which causes food poisoning in humans and I have to get the bacteria samples from soil, water and small animals. So I followed the zoology students into the jungle to accomplish my mission.

The sampling site is a recreational park which took us 6 hours to reach from our campus.

The "victims" caught. Don't worry, we'd already let them go which means that there was no killing of animals =)

I always thought that bats are scary because they always appear in horror movies. After having a close contact with them, I realized that they're actually cute (when they don't bite of course because some of them were very aggressive). See the fierce-looking bat below? Its expression read, "If you touch me, I'll bite your fingers off."

This fruit bat looks like a squirrel, doesn't it? *aww*

I couldn't say that I enjoyed the trip because I didn't have enough sleep. But it is indeed an interesting and unforgettable trip which I might only experience once or twice in a lifetime~

P/s: Sorry for the poor quality of certain photos.
